22 Jan 10 Things to Do the Week of Your Wedding
You are in the homestretch to making it down the aisle!
You have planned the wedding you have dreamed about since you were a little girl and the butterflies are fluttering about your big day.
Now it is finally time to prepare yourself for the happiest day of your life (no sweat or anything).
Here are a few of our top tips to get you prepped and ready for your dream day:
Get your ring cleaned. Most jewelers will clean your wedding ring for free. We promise you will feel like you just got engaged all over again when that diamond sparkles like brand new.
Confirm RSVP’s. Especially with the “stragglers” that took their time to RSVP to your wedding.
Confirm and pay your vendors. Triple checking arrival times and logistics with your wedding vendors – a simple mass email will do. Make sure you pay off any balances as well. The last thing you want to worry about at the end of the night is writing checks!
Check in with the squad. Touch base with your wedding VIPs including in-laws, family members and your bridal party for any last minute questions or needs.
Pack an emergency kit. Here are a few we recommend:
- Bridechilla Wedding Day Emergency Kit
- Happily Homemade Bridal Emergency Kit
- Custom Bride Emergency Kit
- Pinch Provisions Minimergency Kit
Practice your vowels as we all know that practice makes perfect. However, don’t fear the waterworks; it’s natural! Grab your girls and do a mini rehearsal beforehand so you at least feel confident about what you are going to say (tears or no tears).
Treat yourself to a wedding mani-pedi. Sit back, relax and make your fingers and toes look fabulous for the wedding and honeymoon after.
Complete your wedding license. It’s not official until it’s legal. Make sure all of the documents and signatures are properly registered to seal the deal on your marriage.
Pack your bags for the honeymoon or any other post-wedding plans. Have fun with it! Maybe take your girls on a shopping spree to pick up some new pieces to keep the celebration going after the big day.
Take care of yourself. Get plenty of sleep, drink a lot of water, get exercise, go do yoga, have a girl’s night and eat foods that make you look and feel healthy. Nothing beats a bride who maximized her “glow”!
Remember, you only get to plan a wedding so many times in your life. Soak in every moment and enjoy the littlest things. You will be looking back, crying and laughing at these memories for years to come!
