04 Apr Real Brides: Madi Winkelseth
She is all things fun, flirty and super sweet! Blue House gals, meet Madi Winkelseth, our fabulously resourceful bride that loves indulgent taco bars just as much as we do. Madi and hubby, Sean, tied the knot at the JLH barn in Jamestown, Indiana last August surrounded by fresh flowers and greenery, beautiful decorations and the many people that they love.
Madi and Sean fell in love with the JLH Barn because it was a simple, yet super romantic site for their dream wedding. They wanted a place where they could have their ceremony and reception with ample room for all of their pre-wedding preparation festivities. (Translation: Madi wanted space for her and her girl gangs’ hair, make-up and champagne toasting of course!). Plus, the barn had the most beautiful chandeliers, rustic vibe and lovely fields and farmland to complement their dream outdoor ceremony.
Madi wanted to keep her lovely wedding classic and elegant. To keep things simple and unfussy, she incorporated tons of greenery complemented with white flowers to the August wedding. Some other unique deets about the Winkelseth wedding:
- The primary colors to compliment the greenery were pink and white with rose gold accents.
- Rose gold sequin table runners sat beneath the centerpieces made entirely of greenery.
- The table runners weren’t the only rose gold touch. Try rose gold silverware too!
- Let’s also talk about some serious recycling goals. Madi re-purposed the flowers from her arbor as flowers for the head table’s centerpiece and for the flowers on the cake.
- To keep it simple, Madi’s bride tribe wore dove grey and Sean’s crew rocked navy. Classic, simple yet super gorgeous.
The best part is that the planners at JLH made the wedding preparation process completely seamless while also keeping it extremely budget-friendly while giving the newly-weds everything they could have ever dreamed of.
Madi’s Highlighted Moments:
Did someone say tacos? Madi definitely did because it was tacos galore after saying “I do”. As much as she loved her glorious wedding feast, even decadent tacos could not top how much she loved her ceremony. The sentimental ceremony was filled with contemporary vowels and a romantic hand ceremony that included everyone in their party that had already pronounced exchanged vowels before. The wedding captured everything special to the couple. Madi was just grateful to have all of those she loved most filling the room. Speaking of loved ones filling the room, Sean and his mom stole the show on the dance floor with their unconventional (and unexpected) break-out dance!
Madi and Sean’s “first look” was when Madi first stepped foot on the aisle. Up until that moment, she had been so nervous but seeing her husband at the end of that aisle calmed the nerves down and it was as if they were the only two in the room. Throughout the rest of the wedding, the newlyweds made it a point to make their wedding about them and made sure that they spent most of their time together, eating tacos and breaking it down on the dance floor. The day was easy and natural, and it felt as if nothing did or could have gone wrong at all. All of their loved ones were there, both parts of the inseparable pair made it to the end of the aisle and everything was perfect.
Blue House Experience
Madi knew the exact dress that she wanted before ever stepping foot into Blue House. Her dress captured her attention while on an online wedding dress inspiration hunt. She knew she had to try it on. Madi chose Blue House for her try-on because she knew our mission to make our brides feel at home and give them a private room with all the space they need for their friends and family to be with them while making this major decision. Although it was love at first sight, she still agreed to try on a few others just to be sure. Lucky for Madi, she knew which one was her dress the entire time and kept coming back to it. We think you made the best choice too, girl!
Advice to Current Brides
